The problem

Revenue is vanity. Profit is the truth.

Your best-selling product can be your worst earner once costs are in. Without per-SKU profit, you're guessing where the money really comes from.

Bestsellers that lose money

High volume on a thin or negative margin can quietly drain the bottom line while looking like a win.

Costs scattered everywhere

COGS, fees, shipping and discounts live in different places — so true profit never gets calculated.

Buying decisions on revenue

Reordering by units sold pours cash into products that don't earn, and starves the ones that do.

How it works

From cost per item to clear profit

Add your costs once. epiphanies does the rest on every sync — no spreadsheets, no manual reconciliation.

1

Add cost per item

Enter or import your COGS in Shopify. That single field unlocks profit across the whole catalog.

2

We net out the rest

Revenue minus COGS, transaction fees, shipping and discounts — calculated automatically from your orders.

3

Rank and act

See true profit and margin per SKU, sorted best to worst, with thin-margin products flagged for review.

True net margin per SKU

Not gross. Real margin after the costs that actually hit each order, product by product.

Profit winners & losers

A ranked view of what earns and what drains, so reorder and discount decisions follow the money.

Margin-floor alerts

Set a minimum margin and get flagged when a SKU slips below it after returns and discounts.

Numbers you can trust

Built on your real costs — every figure traceable.

Profit is only useful if it's right. epiphanies works from your actual Shopify cost-per-item and order data, so every profit and margin number traces back to a line you can verify — not an estimate or an industry average.

  • Uses your real cost per item, not assumed margins
  • Nets out fees, shipping and discounts from orders
  • Every SKU's profit traces to its underlying costs
  • Blank costs are flagged, never quietly guessed

Frequently asked

Where does profit data come from? +

From your "cost per item" in Shopify, combined with your real order data. Add costs and net profit, margins and rankings populate on the next sync.

Why are some of my profit numbers blank? +

A SKU with no cost per item can't have its profit computed, so we flag it rather than guess. Add the cost and it fills in automatically.

What costs are included? +

Cost of goods from your cost per item, plus transaction fees, shipping and discounts captured from your orders.

Which plan includes net profit? +

Net profit (P&L) is included with Pro, alongside forecasting and multi-location transfers.
